How will you make an impact in this role?

In the FIU Special Investigations team, we conduct complex and sensitive investigations of financial activity and customers. You will use your prior and on-the-job experience to deliver expert-level investigative reviews and reports. These investigations will involve all products issued by American Express, including those built by the Amex Digital Labs team.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct complex investigations across multiple financial products
• Build strong relationships with department partners and outside stakeholders in product, risk, and compliance
• Write reports detailing investigation findings-including drafting and filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficient at using Microsoft Office tools like Excel and Word
• Experience conducting complex investigations
• Experience using blockchain explorers to view and trace transactions
• Advanced skills conducting internal research, including via the use of open-source intelligence (OSINT)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience drafting and filing SARs
• Experience conducting cybercrime investigations and a deep understanding of cybercrime typologies
• Experience using blockchain analysis tools like TRM Labs and Chainalysis
• One or more industry certifications like Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), TRM Certified Investigator (TRM-CI), or Chainalysis Reactor Certification (CRC)

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
