Comic Books Reporter - North America

Dexerto is looking for a Comic Books reporter to write news, features and guides about the biggest superhero comics and graphic novels. This is a remote job, so you would be expected to work from home on a North American timezone.

Working closely with our TV and Movies tea, your main task will be to write compelling content about Marvel & DC Comics.

Strong knowledge of high-profile franchises is essential for the role. The ideal candidate will be able to cover most, if not all, of the following: Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man, Super Man, Thor, The Joker, Daredevil, Captain Marvel, The Avengers, Justice League, and any other trending franchise. An awareness of other big comic series, such as Walking Dead, is a plus.

In your cover letter, please list all of the comics you're interested in, as well as any relevant experience.

This is a role in which passion and talent is the most important thing, but some writing experience and SEO knowledge is desirable.

Requirements

• Own computing equipment that can run Photoshop or similar programs
• Excellent attention to detail – able to spot grammatical errors and formatting mistakes
• Understanding and knowledge of comics
• Good writing skills
• Great communication skills – able to take instruction and keep various members of the team updated on progress
• Experience with Google Sheets and content management systems is a plus
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Able to work full-time hours (40) without other education or job commitments
• SEO knowledge
