We are currently looking for an Architect, Cloud Engineering to join our team.
Essential Functions:
- Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.
- Monitor the company’s cloud privacy in collaboration with IT security.
- Keeping track of how much cloud space is being used and ensuring that the system is running smoothly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Create and manage cloud-based systems.
- Assist with infrastructure migration strategies, such as mass application transfers to the cloud.
- Ensuring cloud security.
- As the Architect of Cloud Engineering, you will collaborate with delivery teams in setting the technology strategy on transformation initiatives, with experience in next-gen ecosystems including open-source concepts, API's, micro-services, web and data services
- Translating project-specific requirements into a cloud structure that meets those requirements, as well as taking into account the project’s resource use and scalability requirements.
- Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
- Produce conceptual and logical architecture blueprints through a linkage between customer and user value chains, process flows, applications, data schemas, integrations, and overall IT capabilities. Ability to articulate how capabilities should reside and operate together, including infrastructure, hardware, software, cloud, data warehouse and delivery
- Working with corporate clients to understand their requirements and put in place cloud solutions to satisfy those requirements.
- Examine cloud apps, hardware, and software on a regular basis.
- Performing activities such as deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and management inside the cloud framework that has been created.
- Designing the cloud environment from a comprehensive perspective, ensuring that it satisfies all of the company’s needs.
- Identify the best cloud architecture options to help the firm accomplish its strategic goals.
- Develop a well-informed cloud approach and monitor the transition.
- Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
- Act as a primary team interface with various levels of client executives, including Chief Technology, Information, Data, and Digital Officers
- Respond to technical difficulties in a timely and competent manner.
- Responsible for implementing and securing AWS technologies
- Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process.
- Provide training and assistance to all employees whose jobs need them to interact with the cloud structure.
- Using virtualization technologies to accomplish effective server administration for the business.
- Develop and organize cloud systems.
- Conducting migrations to transfer tools and other aspects into the cloud, as needed.
- Act as a domain advisor on top technology trends, including a deep understanding of vendor product capabilities and usage rates across the industry to help shape client recommendations and bring a culture of learning and innovation to our internal teams
- Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Bringing new apps into the cloud environment to completion.
- Contribute to determining technical and operational solutions, including build vs. buy decisions relative to implementation feasibility, benefits and costs as tied to business and technology objectives
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and delivering large scale IT change and comfort in working in challenging client situations with ability to balance strategic vision and tactical delivery needs
- Experience designing and executing architecture governance, designing large-scale distributed systems, developing technology roadmaps, and performing current state architecture assessments and expertise in both green field architecture and modernizing legacy and large-scale enterprise IT
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree is required.
- 10+ years of experience as Cloud Architect preferably in AWS
- Continual approach to learning new patterns, technologies, and skills and excellent communication and influencing skills, including ability to identify, evaluate, and articulate options, trade-offs, and recommendations
- 10+ years of experience in a client-facing strategy or industry delivery role
- Knowledge of and experience in on-premises and cloud software and systems architecture, including containers, container orchestration, API gateway/service mesh patterns, and functions-as-a-service; experience with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and knowledge of DevOps and SRE practices, including delivery pipelines
- Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends
