Expected hourly rate of pay range: $24.80 to $34.60

JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Research (CR) Contracts and Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting research institutions with their clinical trial agreement reviews and negotiations. Other primary responsibilities include the development, review, revisions, and/or negotiations of other research-related agreements to mitigate legal risk for research institution clients; developing or revising client policies and procedures; and conducting legal research for assigned projects. The CR Contracts & Compliance Analyst will complete these critical functions in a manner designed to expedite the conclusion of the start-up process for our clients while maintaining a high level of quality.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; Associate degree in a legal (or related) field will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities such as analysis, judgment, problem-solving, and ethics.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and highly accurate work product.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and timelines
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually with clients and collaborate with coworkers in a supportive team environment.
  • Ability to work in a performance-driven environment with a proactive, goal-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing complex legal agreements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Elevate concerns to the Manager, as needed.
  • Analyze clinical trial agreements and other research-oriented contracts for consistency with external clients’ internal policies and contract guidelines.
  • Independently manage assigned contract projects; identify potential legal and/or business issues and determine options for resolution of those issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager, which at times, may be unrelated to the position described.
  • Work with Senior Clinical Research Contracts & Compliance Analysts and Manager to review and alter deliverables, as needed.
  • Redline, negotiate, and discuss clinical trial agreements with external entities, including clinical research organizations and pharmaceutical study sponsors, based on client’s preferred contract guidelines.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
