Clinical Leader- Rn (2 North, Isu, Staff Support)

• JOB REQUIREMENTS
• RN license - BSN or MSN required.
• Education

All training associated with orientation to your job role. Initial and ongoing competencies. Maintenance of required clinical certifications for job role (BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc).

Advanced Preceptor Class (Prior to or within 2 months of hire) .

Two peer evaluations required annually with evaluation.

Considered an informal leader for department.

• Experience
• Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Minimum of 3 years’ nursing experience. National cetification is required in area of practice.

• All competent RNs are expected to participate in the teaching of nursing student and may also serve as a preceptor for new hires. Nurses at this level are expected to serve in short term and long term preceptorships with academic institutions on request.
