Job Description
THE POSITION

The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a Clerical Assistant 2. This position provides clerical support and typing in an Unemployment Compensation Service Center. Don't miss this opportunity, apply today!


DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2 you will open, sort, and distribute incoming mail, gather and meter outgoing mail, post referee and UC Board of Review decisions, file forms and correspondence, operate office equipment, answer phones, provide information or redirect calls, and operate a computer terminal or desktop computer.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after the successful completion of the required probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
  • Full-time employment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Graduation from high school; or
Other Requirements:
