Job Description
Job title Chief Operating Officer (COO) Reports to CEO Classification Exempt This is a hybrid role based out of the Baltimore, MD area. Job purpose summary Five Star Physician Services is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide overall leadership and direction for a Post-Acute/Long Term Care primary care and medical director practice . The COO will be responsible for recruiting providers, new client business development optimizing practice performance, patient experience, financial performance, and provider and staff engagement. The COO also directs all quality assurance and compliance programs ensuring the best patient care possible. Responsibilities Recruit physicians and nurse practitioners Grow the company client base through business development Oversight and management of practice performance. Ensure high quality patient care and services, including management of patient flow/access and service improvement. Serve as a member of the executive leadership team working cooperatively with team members on the development, implementation, and evaluation of the group practice delivery system. Skills Experience recruiting and hiring physicians and nurse practitioners . 10 Years experience in leading and managing a primary care practice. Knowledge of health and patient care regulations Excellent communication skills Demonstrated success in executing physician practice growth strategies in highly competitive markets Strong ethics Team spirit with a positive attitude Master’s degree preferred Working conditions Administrative office located in suburban Baltimore. Position requires occasional travel in Maryland. Physical requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods.
