About the Role: The Performance Solutions Division is looking for a Divisional Chief Operating Officer to join our team. In this role, you will partner broadly with shared ownership to execute the divisional strategic plan. You will work closely with the Functional Divisional and Business Group Business Leaders to ensure that we are executing to achieve the division’s revenue, cash and profit goals and are building the capabilities critical to enable success.


This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.*


Responsibilities:


  • Establish initiatives, processes, and the divisional operating plan required to achieve PSD operating results, in alignment with divisional strategy
  • Integrate across functions, businesses, and regions for effective execution and consistency, including coordinating and facilitating Business Group/PSDLT alignment meetings and communication
  • Drive establishing and maturing support infrastructure, divisional capabilities, processes, and behaviors needed for businesses to achieve their strategic plans and maximize the return from our investments
  • Create an organizational model and provide leadership and coaching to key Business Execution Associates (Strategy Leader, Digital Leader, Sustainability Leader, Project Management Leader) as they develop and implement divisional capabilities
  • Partner with Finance to support business and portfolio reviews ensuring initiative milestones are met and establish / maintain appropriate metrics to track progress, benefits and impacts for key initiatives
  • Accountable for achieving Divisional Operating results including revenue, cash, inventory and profit goals and key partner with finance leader in Quarterly Operating Review (QOR) process
  • Manage the overall G&A Function investment pool including annual and 3 year planning and monthly monitoring of actual results
  • Lead Division coordination and tracking of Transformation Value Realization, engaging with divisional leaders and functions, the PSD Digital team, and the Enterprise Transformation Office to ensure alignment, consistency, and achievement of targeted savings; this work includes driving successful and large productivity improvements in transforming how our business processes (Associates, manufacturing outcomes, customers, suppliers) become dramatically more efficient over the next 3 years


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience of successful leadership of leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively frame challenges and propose solutions, while setting priorities and making trade-offs (investments, time, and resources) to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated ability in implementing strategic plans, capability sets, defining and achieving objectives while identifying and removing barriers to execution
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Experience driving transformational change and creating organizational change agility by influencing, to surface and resolve conflicts, and set/manage expectations for good performance
  • Experience leading ambiguous and complex initiatives that span regions, multiple businesses, functions, and competing priorities
  • Experience leading and coaching global, cross-functional leaders to achieve shared goals and lead thru change while driving business success
  • Experience with multiple business models and multiple stages of the business life cycle (examples: start-up, rapid growth, mature, decline)
  • Excellent influencing skills and the ability to integrate across businesses, functions, and regions
  • Financial acumen


Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience working outside of the US
  • Experience leading a business - P&L responsibility
