: Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Medical Neurotechnology Company

As they continue to expand our operations and develop ground-breaking products, they are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Medical Officer to join their leadership team.


Position Overview: As the Chief Medical Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's medical strategy, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and driving innovation in the field of neurotechnology. You will lead and oversee all medical affairs, clinical research, and regulatory activities, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to advance our product development and commercialization efforts. This is a unique opportunity to combine your medical expertise with strategic leadership, driving impactful change in the lives of patients worldwide.


Responsibilities:


  1. Develop and implement the company's medical and clinical strategy, aligning it with business objectives and market needs.
  2. Provide medical leadership, expertise, and guidance to internal teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, clinical operations, marketing, and sales.
  3. Oversee and guide the design, planning, execution, and analysis of clinical trials and studies to generate robust evidence supporting product safety and efficacy.
  4. Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines, and lead interactions with regulatory agencies.
  5. Drive medical and scientific education initiatives, providing training and support to internal teams, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders.
  6. Establish and maintain strong relationships with external clinical experts, key opinion leaders, and medical societies to foster collaboration and gain insights into emerging trends and developments in neurotechnology.
  7. Act as a medical spokesperson for the company, representing it at conferences, scientific meetings, and other external forums.
  8. Evaluate and assess potential strategic partnerships, collaborations, and licensing opportunities with a focus on medical and clinical aspects.
  9. Stay abreast of advancements in neurology, neurotechnology, and related fields, continuously updating knowledge and applying insights to inform company strategies and product development.
  10. Ensure compliance with ethical standards, patient safety regulations, and data privacy requirements across all medical activities.


Qualifications:


  1. Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution. Board certification in a relevant specialty is highly desirable.
  2. Significant experience (minimum 10 years) in the field of neurology, neurotechnology, or a related area, with a deep understanding of clinical research and medical affairs.
  3. Proven track record of successful leadership in a medical or clinical role within the healthcare industry, preferably in the medical device or biotechnology sector.
  4. Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, clinical trial design, and medical affairs operations.
  5. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex medical and scientific concepts into business strategies.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, researchers, regulators, and internal teams.
  7. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  8. Experience in neurotechnology, neuromodulation, or related fields is highly advantageous.
  9. Proficiency in navigating the regulatory landscape, including FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
  10. High ethical standards, commitment to patient safety, and compliance with industry best practices.
  11. NEUROSCIENCE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!


Salary and Benefits:

  • ~30% stock options
  • $385,000 - $415,000
  • ~30% Bonus
