Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Business Officer (CBO) to lead our business development efforts in the biopharmaceutical sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully collaborating with supply chain professionals in the biologics field and cultivating strategic relationships within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. As a CBO, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our company by leveraging your expertise in technology sales, licensing, and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development and revenue generation. Evaluate and report progress regularly to executive leadership.
- Drive revenue growth by actively pursuing licensing deals and strategic partnerships. Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue generation from technology and product licensing.
- Prioritize understanding cost drivers within the biopharmaceutical industry. Identify opportunities to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness in collaboration with supply chain professionals.
- Develop and nurture contacts within pharmaceutical and biotech companies to establish meaningful partnerships. Identify potential collaborators, licensors, and licensees to expand our network and promote technology transfer.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance revenue growth through licensing deals. Identify potential areas of expansion, both domestically and internationally, and devise strategies to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Leverage your existing network of supply chain and development contacts to accelerate business development initiatives. Tap into your industry connections to drive revenue and secure partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain experts in the biologics/Viral Vector sector to understand industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate successful technology adoption and integration.
- Utilize your business acumen to effectively sell our technology and products to potential partners. Lead negotiations for technology licensing agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and successful deal closures.
Qualifications
- Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, PhD) is a plus.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on revenue growth and deal closures.
- Willingness to travel as needed to establish and nurture business relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities.
- Proven track record in business development, technology sales, and licensing within the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Extensive network of contacts within the supply chain and development domains of the biologics sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
