Medical Assistant (Entry To Advanced Experience)

• Multiple locations available to choose from* Description: +

Manages the check-in and registration process, interview patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts.

May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.

+

Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.

+

Medical Assistants will be responsible for registering the patients when they arrive for their visit.

+

They will need to create new patient charts for new patients and update the correct existing patient chart.

+

Front office and back office work 50/50.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma required

• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred

Work Experience

• Medical Assistant experience preferred (at least certified with 6 months of Externship Experience)

• EMR Experience Needed, preferably EPIC and POC testing experience

Required Licenses/Certifications

One of the following certifications is preferred ,

€¢ CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified Through NHA, National Health Career Association) €¢ CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified Through AAMA, American Association Of Medical Assistant) €¢ RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified Through AMT, American Medical Technologists) €¢ NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified Through NCCT, National Center For Competency Testing) Experience Level

Entry Level to 10 plus years
