About The Job


Dudek is seeking a Chief Information Officer who excels as both a leader and doer. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting data-driven decision-making and optimizing the organization's information systems to enhance operational efficiency, leverage emerging technologies, and foster innovation. This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer and serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Duties and Responsibilities:


IT Operations, Service and Infrastructure


  • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of IT excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation to deliver high-quality, reliable IT services and projects.
  • Oversee technology operations, including IT support, infrastructure, and application services, including the management of third-party managed service providers.
  • Collaborate with CEO on the evaluation, allocation, and management of IT assets, including budget and strategic planning.


Technology Strategy, Innovation and Planning:
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and digital transformation, leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and provide a competitive advantage.
  • Define Dudek’s technology roadmap to align with the Company’s goals and strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with leaders, key stakeholders, and technology partners serving as the subject matter expert and thought leader on matters related to technology. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and regulations and how they impact Dudek (e.g., AI/ML, AR/VR, automation, NIST, etc.).


Data Management and Analytics:


  • Develop a company-wide data management strategy to enhance data integrity, security, reporting capabilities and in partnership with other key stakeholders, explore ways to leverage data to provide value to clients in different ways.
  • Drive the adoption of data analytics and business intelligence tools to enable data-driven decision-making and provide actionable insights.


IT Governance and Risk Management


  • Define and implement IT governance frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure effective management of IT resources and projects.
  • Advise Dudek leadership and the Board of Directors regarding technology trends, new technologies, cyber security risks, competitive threats and significant issues that may create opportunities for (or risks to) Company as well as the Information Technology department’s ability to deliver on objectives.
  • Ensure that the proper governance and risk protocols are in place to ensure alignment with compliance requirements.
  • Implement, maintain, and enforce robust cybersecurity measures, data protection practices, and user access controls to safeguard our operations, IT assets, Intellectual Property, and data while ensuring compliance with industry and government standards.


Minimum Requirements


  • As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check.
  • A minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive experience within information technology with a minimum of ten (5) years of significant IT senior leadership experience including but not limited to strategic planning, data management, cybersecurity, technology innovation, project planning, budgeting, and leading the efforts of others responsible for operating a wide range of IT services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

  • Proven ability to build and support a high-performing remote and hybrid technology team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a desire to continuously improve and innovate.
  • Background and experience in data science and/or machine learning
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with all levels of the organization including senior leadership, project managers, and individual contributors.
  • Working knowledge of multiple platforms, such as:
  • ESR GIS Products
  • Microsoft Office365 and Azure
  • Ceridian Dayforce HCM
  • Experience developing a strategic IT roadmap which supports cross-functional growth and overall technology transformation.
  • Deltek including Vision and VantagePoint
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of ERP, CRM, HCM, and data analytics tools.
  • Proven leadership over enterprise-wide IT Infrastructure, architecture, networks, cybersecurity, and operations.

  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.

Proposed Salary Range: $240,000-$300,000 annually*


  • Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
