Description:

As Chief Financial Officer you will:

  • Analyze the strengths and weakness of the company’s finances and oversee all aspects of its financial success.
  • Direct and oversee the preparation of financial reports and summaries and create forecasts predicting future growth.
  • Routinely work with senior executives to monitor revenue, recognize growth opportunities, and ensure performance against budget expectations.
  • Be a key member of the senior leadership team who oversees the financial performance of the company.
  • Report directly to the Surround Care CFO and will also work closely with the Navvis Chief Operating Officer and the Market Presidents.

A Day in the Life:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of financial and accounting functions of the company to ensure the continued success and fiscal stability of the organization including general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting, cash management, AR / AP operations, tax strategies, audit function, financial policies and procedures.
  • Develop company’s financial strategy in collaboration with the Surround Care CFO, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer and execute / monitor against plan.
  • Review, evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of all financial and accounting systems. Direct the development and implementation of new systems, policies and procedures as required.
  • Collaborate with CEO, COO, and market presidents on strategic planning, staffing / compensation, growth opportunities, and other business matters.
  • Identify opportunities for improving, developing, and automating the accounting and finance functions.
  • Oversee cash forecasting model to meet the organization’s financial and strategic needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors including banking, financial advisor, audit firm, tax advisor, valuation firm, etc.
  • Continuously identify and evaluate innovative approaches to summarize and convey key metrics that drive business decisions.
  • Lead a collaborative process with the Surround Care CFO, CEO, and COO and other executives to develop, administer, and review strategic and financial plans and budgets on an annual and ongoing basis. Monitor progress and changes in financial performance (sales, expenses, profit) and keep leadership team abreast of changes – adjust priorities and forecast as needed. Support market presidents to develop plans for growth to increase company profit while also reducing expenditures.
  • Maintain sound financial controls and ensure financial matters of company are carried out ethically.
  • Study long-range economic trends and project their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
  • Attend promptly to the administrative details of the position including the signing of documents, preparation of reports, and other employee-related actions.
  • Keep abreast of government regulatory requirements and the rapidly changing environment to develop and implement changes to policies and procedures as needed.
  • Develop and execute process to evaluate and manage investments in capital projects by applying unbiased scrutiny in determining the financial impact and ROI of such projects and managing the capital spend in accordance with the capital cash flow projections.
  • Direct the timely preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, self-direct, and follow through with high attention to detail.
  • 8+ years leading a team with executive experience.
  • Ability to influence both peers and leaders, to build consensus while dealing with ambiguity, and make or delegate decisions when necessary.
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills - critical thinking mindset.
  • Hands-on experience with financial management software (ERP, FP&A, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel as required, up to 20%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Possess excellent communication, organization, leadership, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient Excel, PowerPoint skills.
  • Familiarity in rigorous reporting of metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience in maintaining a high-quality standard of financial statement preparation.
  • Proven expertise in developing effective, matrixed, cross-organization relationships, collaborating and communicating across business and technology stakeholders and multiple geographies.
  • 12+ years of experience in a progressive accounting or finance position.

We are excited about you if you have these things:

  • 10-15 years’ experience in the healthcare industry preferred, especially value-based healthcare and risk contracts.
  • Previous working experience as Chief Financial Officer or Controller with substantial financial management experience including financial operations, strategic and financial planning, contracts, reimbursement, and budgeting, in a complex environment.
  • CPA and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
