We are seeking a CENTRAL MONITOR TECHNICIAN at Aspirus Wausau Hospital to provide accountability for the operation of the arrhythmia analysis computer in the central monitor station under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Central Monitor Technician will be responsible for monitoring rhythms of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, and interpreting this information and understand rhythms depending upon the age of patients. You will also be responsible for providing training to all nursing personnel regarding the monitors recognition of rhythms, performing outdates on drugs, solutions and other supplies, and other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Completes Basic 12 Lead EKG training and EKG written test during orientation.
- Knowledge and skills necessary for this position normally obtained through completion of a high school diploma, with LPN, EMT, or CNA training preferred
Hours: Full-time, 0.9 FTE, 72 hours in a 2-week pay period. Varied shifts, Every 3rd weekend rotation, 2 holidays per year
