Your goal as Category Management Intern at Wish is to assist in developing our growing categories using a data-driven approach to build the assortment and optimal supply that deliver results for our Wish platform and the needs of our customers. The Category Management Intern will support the Category Management team on assortment management, listings optimization, reporting & analysis, cross-functional partnerships, and implementation of product features that will drive customer engagement.

A successful Category Management Intern will be able to effectively support the team in identifying growth opportunities and work with external partners and internal stakeholders to remove barriers and find solutions to grow.

The ideal candidate is passionate about Wish and e-commerce growth at scale, has a strong innate curiosity, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support building and growing key categories
• Support development of product/feature requirements to grow categories
• Effectively communicate & collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders
• Work with the team to manage KPIs and P&L financials
• Demonstrate analytical thinking and leverage data to support decision making
• Assist in reviewing assortments, listings, and merchant performance
• Support the Business Development, Merchandising, and other cross-functional teams on supply acquisition

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, and time management
• Knowledge of the online shopping industry, particularly with marketplaces & marketplace sellers
• Available to work 40 hours per week from June to August
• Agile individual with the ability to work autonomously in a demanding and ambiguous environment
• Strong personal presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Previous experience in a similar role strongly desired (Category Management, Strategy Analysis, Merchandising)
• Familiarity with Tableau, SQL, Jira an asset
• Detail-oriented, relentlessly resourceful
• Current Student Enrolled in an Undergraduate Program or Graduate Program

The base salary range for this position is $25-$30 per hour. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company's sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, qualifications and other business considerations.
