Cash Application Manager:
The Manager, Cash Application will support the Director, Cash and Credit Services in the selection, direction and development of credit balance department team members, and will report to the Director, Cash and Credit Services. The Manager will be responsible for assisting team members with problematic accounts and questions regarding credit resolution and refund processes. The Manager will be responsible to report on Key Performance Indicators for the department and will be held to the standards identified as benchmarks for each client. Position duties include managing the daily workflow of the department, monitoring progress to identify trending issues and develop training or processes to address these issues. The Manager will also hold huddles to efficiently cover new or evolving training focuses to encourage and develop team members. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing progress on the floor and monitoring the worked accounts for quality assurance. The position will also manage assigned associate's time management and approval of time-cards for payroll processing.
Responsibilities:
  • Participates in monthly, quarterly and annual key indicator goal setting. Participates in reviews, updates, and implementation of policies and procedures to support the vision and goals.
  • Accountable for a comprehensive and effective communication strategy with the department that promotes a common understanding of the market, vision, strategy and accountability. Promotes a culture of two-way communications and creates opportunities for staff participation. Activities focused on
  • Regularly monitors data to identify gaps in the operations and works with key parties / departments to resolve the issues. In addition, monitors ongoing issues to ensure new processes are consistently followed and maintained
  • Assists with creating strategic vision for credit balance services across the organization. The Manager will be responsible for assisting the credit balance leadership in developing and implementing short and long-term plans and objectives to improve revenue and ensure compliant credit resolution. The
  • Manager will work with revenue cycle departments to identify and correct trends to implement preventative measures and timely resolution.
  • Employee engagement, including intentional coaching and mentoring.
  • Organizes functions through establishing clear accountability and decision rights, delegation of duties and appropriate departmentalization. Counsels and disciplines employees when necessary in accordance with department and/or organizational policies. Establishes departmental goals with staff to optimize performance while improving operations to increase customer satisfaction and meet the financial goals of the organization
Requirements:
  • Five years’ experience in healthcare industry. Three years’ management experience
Experience in physician and hospital operations, compliance and provider relations. Cash reconciliation experience also required.
CRCR certification Required. Completed within 9 months of employment.
