About the Role:
The Carrier Appointment Specialist is a liaison between the Brightway Home Officer, Agency Owners, and insurance carriers, managing administrative and appointment issues. They maintain calendars and checklists, proactively make outbound calls and emails, troubleshoot issues, identify opportunities, and document processes and procedures. Responsibilities:
  • Ensure work done as part of a team is complementary and not duplicative or conflicting
  • Document activities and follow-up in appropriate systems regularly and accurately
  • Regularly check email and other work systems to fulfill requesters' needs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Proactively gather correct information and clarify any misinformation
  • Manage workload effectively and efficiently, using strong organizational skills
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • High school diploma required, with some college and/or professional development in insurance-related areas preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in a professional workplace, preferably insurance industry, required

Essential Job Functions:
  • Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers
  • Able to apply statistical calculations, analysis of variance, correlation techniques
  • Lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds various items
  • Ability to communicate orally with others, reading, writing, walking, speaking, hearing
  • Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems within your department
  • Able to perform basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Extended periods viewing computer screen, repetitive motion, sitting for extended periods is common, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching/grasping
