Responsibilities of the Motor Carrier Specialist

Reports productivity stats daily and maintains output percentages set by the department.

Ability to learn and explain policy and procedures to MCS customers. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Works under general supervision after a period of training. Must ensure that the SCDMV policies and operational procedures are followed.

Start, maintain and develop business relationships with all transportation providers; support the communication between carrier and the Operations Management team.

Act as the liaison between carrier operations management and ALS associates, and partner with all functions of the business.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or related field, or equivalent related work or military experience.

5 years’ experience within the trucking industry specifically in sales or operations.

Ability to manage a cross-functional effort (e.g., RFP response)

Accurately maintain and update information in the company's operating systems.
