Caregiver/Cna - Part Time - Saginaw, Assisted Living

When you join our team as a Caregiver/CNA, you'll be part of a team of nurses, other caregivers, and administrative professionals who are committed to supporting our staff in their work of serving seniors and their families at the Saginaw Senior Living Campus, Assisted Living. In this position, you'll bring a high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional experience with caregiving and working with elders in a long-term care setting

Here is some of what you'll be responsible for as a Caregiver/CNA :

• Administers medications as set up and according to the medication administration record (MAR)
• Assists residents at meal time and report any ongoing dietary problems
• Performs and documents vital signs and blood sugar testing as required related to medications administration
• Responds to emergencies and assists supervisor with management of the same
• Properly documents medication administration information including refusal of routine medications and PRN medication administration
• Performs minor treatments including application of therapeutic creams and simple dressing changes
• Reports any deviation from MAR and medication dosing system
• Provides care in the following areas according to the resident care sheet and direction of the caregiver supervisor; immediately reports to the supervisor when the assignment cannot be completed
• Completes any assigned caregiver tasks
• Observes for and reports signs and symptoms that might be related to medications or changes in condition
