Assisted Living Caregiver Jobs

Assisted Living Caregivers, also referred to as Resident Assistants, are an essential part of the team who provides care for our residents.

Assisted Living Caregiver – Resident Assistant responsibilities:

• Update resident records by documenting daily observations.
• Check vitals weekly, or more often, if needed.
• Provide personal cares and/or assistance to residents for activities of daily living.
• Monitor resident’s health, document changes and report changes to the shift manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Engage resident in conversation or activities throughout the day.
• Read and implement individualized service care plans.

Qualifications:

• Prior caregiving experience and/or CNA -certified providing care to the elderly, required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail orientated and able to follow written instructions.
• Ability to lift 40lbs and stand the majority of your shift.
• Prior experience in a memory care unity working with Dementia/Alzheimer residents.
• Ability to exhibit empathy and compassion when faced with challenging dementia behaviors.
• Highly motivated to accomplish tasks and ensure the well-being of residents.
