Position Summary

SHEIN is in search of a Studio Technician, Camera Operator to join our new in-house Content Studio. The Studio Technician, Camera Operator will be responsible for shooting our livestream shows and on location shoots as assigned.

This exciting new role provides the opportunity to exercise many creative and technical skills including shooting both on location and in studio. The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades who thrives on being hands on with the entire content team on a production from start to finish. Candidate must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include early mornings, nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the field for on location shoots as assigned
• The Studio Technician, Camera Operator will report to Sr. Manager, Technical Production and will be responsible for live production camera switching, PTZ operating, and final output of livestream
• Understand and contribute to the creative vision for multiple productions
• Partner with Sr. Manager, Technical Production to ensure the visual style and creative vision are met for each production, ensuring continuity across the brand
• Assist with studio camera maintenance and upgrades
• Develop the visual style, lighting, composition, and planning of camera angles
• The ideal candidate will work with our Studio team including producers and on-camera hosts to ensure our livestreams are successfully executed

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong technical understanding of Livestream signal types, audio and video formats, sync, timecode and signal flow for RTMP live video distribution
• Experience shooting in the field alongside celebrity talent
• Adept technical knowledge of cameras, lenses and livestreaming operations
• Ability to properly light in a variety of environments in studio and in the field
• Possess intimate knowledge of all studio equipment and technologies
• Strong camera operating skills in live and non-live environments
• Excellent people and communication skills
• 5+ years’ experience as a DP/Camera Operator with substantial field experience

Pay: $70k - $73k, Plus bonus
