Firmware Engineer Jobs

The RealSense Group is delivering exciting new RealSense Camera products that will change the way people interact with computers. We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Software Engineer, particularly enabling RealSense products in real advanced applications.

As a Firmware Engineer at Intel, you will be a part of a full-cycle, Agile, geographically distributed product enablement team, working with a variety of interesting technologies including 2D and 3D data captured from our new 3D cameras, and modules from a number of sources that include but not limited to image processing, pattern recognition, video analytics, computer vision, and face analysis.

You will also deal with:

• Implement new features
• Identify if an issue is a firmware related issue
• Fix firmware related issues

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Math, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• 2+ years of experience with customer technical support
• 4+ years of experience writing embedded device firmware code in C, reading existing code and/or documentation and internalize, and integrating existing modules of code into larger architectures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with USB, UVC, MIPI protocol
• Familiarity with image sensors
• Experience / knowledge of Digital Signal Processing, Facial Analysis, Gesture Recognition, 3D Depth algorithms
• Experience in developing efficient automated tests
• Experience in 2D/3D cameras
• Familiarity with Android/Linux development, debug, and deployment
• A strong background in platform architecture and design, including security and trusted execution

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $139,480.00-$209,760.00

• Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
