The Buyer is responsible for all day-to-day procurement activities at the Indianapolis, Indiana site. You will create all necessary purchase orders and will work closely with the material planner and master scheduler to support sites production schedule.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides exemplary customer service to other departments
  • Identify purchase order discrepancies and working with suppliers on returns or damage materials.
  • Maintains quality metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Coordination with various business stakeholders on materials and supplies
  • Utilize SAP and Microsoft Dynamics systems to create purchase orders
  • Collaborate with production and supplier quality on new vendor onboarding and setup
  • Collaborate with rest of facility team, as well as Advanced Accelerator Applications corporate functions and other facilities
  • Verify purchase orders for completeness and accuracy
  • Meets revenue, safety, performance and quality goals and objectives.
  • Utilizes computer systems to reconcile and track materials: MS Dynamics 365, UPS, FedEx, etc.
  • Tracking of open purchase orders, ensure deliveries are on time, expediate process when necessary
  • Approve appropriate invoices for payment and work closely with accounts payable team to resolve any invoice discrepancies
  • Collaborate with material planner with monitoring and reporting KPI’s, creates mitigation plans for trending issues.
  • Preform goods receipts on services

NOTE: Mix of on-site/remote work. Approximately 2-days per week remote and 3-days per week on-site
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $72,700.00 and $109,100.00 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum requirements

Education: Bachelors' Degree required
Experience:
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: displays a professional can- do attitude
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to change
  • Training and coaching for new associates
  • Previous purchasing experience. At least 3 years’ experience
  • Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Dynamics preferred
  • Knowledge of procurement/Inventory management systems and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and computer skills
  • Ability to perform duties with the highest regard for safety, quality, and site protocols/policies/procedures
  • Must be exceedingly flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and can act independently
  • Must be able to work in flexible schedule
  • Strong networking skills to maintain strong supplier and working relationships
