Job Description

  • Strong analytical skills and proficient in using Word and Excel; Access skills a plus.
  • MMP, IERP and CMMS knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Comfortable dealing in internal and external conflicts
  • Project management skills and process discipline.
  • Previous Purchasing experience preferred
  • BA / BS Degree is preferred – MBA a plus

  • Strong analytical skills (Must be data driven and able to analyze multiple potential scenarios / business plans)
  • Must be a self-starter/ motivated and be able to work both independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Strong negotiation skills (creating leverage in both offensive and defensive situations)
  • Proficiency in Purchasing systems and procedures
  • Extremely high energy with a relentless pursuit of learning and development to drive commodity expertise
  • Ability to influence senior executives to drive decision-making
  • Persuasive and convincing communication skills (e.g., proposals, reports, plans) to secure commitment from business leaders
  • Ability to develop and successfully execute negotiations strategy

    • Insure suppliers adherence to Ford Global Terms and Conditions
    • Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies.
    • Analysis of data from a variety of internal and external sources to deliver the best value to Ford
    • Lead supplier commercial negotiations and resolve issues affecting part supply.
    • Timely resolution of commercial issues.
    • Manage supplier RFIs, RFQs, and Sourcing Agreements
    • Insure timely responses to all quality issues and processing of SREA’s and Alerts, when applicable
    • Quote and negotiate pricing with suppliers for the purchase of production and dealer channel parts, tooling and services.
