Summary:

We are looking to hire a buyer to help Avalign to continue to grow. The buyer will be responsible for generating purchase orders based on purchase requisitions, hardware inventory levels, and tooling inventory levels. The buyer will be responsible for reviewing any kanban cards and helping establish min/max levels based on history or future forecasting. The buyer will also be responsible for developing relationships with outside suppliers and helping manage priorities with them.

Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Review kanban cards and issue purchase orders when needed.
• Maintaining supplier files
• Setting up new suppliers
• Work with suppliers if they are running past due and maintain delivery date in the system- including subcontract suppliers.
• Review min/max levels of bar stock and generate purchase orders where needed.
• Expedite orders through suppliers.
• Scan and save all purchase orders and requisitions.
• Look for possible cost savings by using different suppliers.
• Review the virtual crib request and generate purchase orders for the tooling needing ordered.
• Help manufacturing adjust min/max levels if needed to ensure tools do not run out.
• Work with accounting to help solve any invoicing issues.
• Receive purchase requisitions from other employees within Avalign CI and turn them in to purchase orders to send to the suppliers withing 24 hours.

• Strong regard for product quality and safety standards

Education and/or Experience:

• Technical certifications such as APICS Certification preferred
• 3-5 years scheduling/manufacturing experience
• High School Diploma or GED
