Buyer Level I / Personalized, Drop Ship and Consignment to Join Our Team! (On-site in Lincolnshire, IL)
We are seeking a full-time Buyer to join LTD Commodities, a division of ASC Brands, LLC! As a premier company in Chicago, Illinois, we have become a trusted industry leader.
The Buyer will support the Merchandising team. The ideal candidate will be highly independent and have a sharp attention to detail. He or she will also manage a diverse workload, be responsive and organized, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. To succeed in this role, the candidate will possess excellent time management and communication skills in addition to being self-motivated and willing to take the initiative.

What will you be responsible for?
- Assortment Planning for all assigned merchandise categories
- Find and on-board NEW Vendors
- Analyze category/item performance and take decisive action to improve performance.
- Continuously develop and improve job procedures and implement cost savings measures.
- Analyze data including supply options and competitors to inform decision making.
- Maintain strong communications with existing vendor base
- Follow-up daily, weekly, or as needed to ensure on-time deliveries. What experience should you have?
- Collaborate with Advertising, Inventory Planning, and Operations.
- Assigns the daily work and merchandise flow of categories within assignment.
- Ensure products meet LTD quality standards and Governmental Requirements
- Adhere to Product Development and Catalog Production Calendar, meeting all deadlines.
- Responsible for delivering Financial Performance for assigned categories.
What experience should you have?
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Provide timely constructive feedback reinforcing our goals to team members as well as annual and mid-year reviews.
- Ability to influence events and/or people by properly perceiving situations and the variables involved and then adopting the most appropriate leadership skills.
- Minimum 2-years successful tenure as Asst. Buyer at LTD Commodities or comparable outside experience.
- Excellent leadership and time management skills - must be an initiative-taker who can work under pressure, meet deadlines, develop strategies, make recommendations, decisions, and execute independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Needs to be results oriented and demonstrate personal accountability.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience – Fashion Merchandising or Business/Marketing degree preferred.
- Responsible for the development of Associate Buyer and Assistant Buyers helping them achieve success and the next level. Invest in teams’ skills development.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment.
