Position Details:
Business Manager-Remote-Redmond WA
Location : Redmond, WA- fully remote
Project Duration : 5+ months contract
Pay Rate : $28.00/Hr. on W2 with limited benefits
Description Of Services:

- Bachelor’s degree business, finance, engineering, operations, or equivalent experience. Required
- Experience in business management, operations, finance, or product/program management with track record of increasing scope of roles and responsibilities.
Top 3 hard skills:
- In addition, PCN/Headcount management for the team and admin team
- Rhythm of business: drive regular key performance indicator reviews, support finance rhythm of business.
- 2+ years of prior experience working within a Business Manager role
- Business partnering: partner across organizations, incl. Engineering and other finance teams to identify and drive engineering efficiencies to meet gross margin goals and COGS/OPEX goals.
- (Pref) Candidate that has prior MSFT Experience
- Organization budget management: conduct financial analysis to provide health of business readouts and trends, and articulate those findings to finance and engineering leadership to support decision-making.
- 2+ years of experience working in a detail oriented (Excel) workspace and clear communications
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with stakeholders across the team, along with talent acquisition and recruiting, to set and manage people and non-people targets.
- Streamline reporting goals, develop, and maintain comprehensive ASE KPIs for product development, cost, efficiencies, schedule, and influence internal stakeholders on KPIs.
- Help create; drive and support cross-org people projects and initiatives.
- Develop and manage organizational assets including Walking decks, Org. Polices & Procedures, Team web sites, SharePoint sites, and Teams channels.
- Drive Employee Engagement efforts including but not limited to Recognition, Awards and Feedback programs/surveys, MS Poll and People Planning efforts across the org to achieve overall business and cultural priorities.
- Develop high impact communications for executive, manager-level, and organization-wide audiences.
- Drive operational Excellence across the organization, planning, implementing, and monitoring projects that improve team efficiency.
- Drive our University Engagement efforts and support end to end process.
- Lead and orchestrate Resource Management, Planning and FY Priorities process.
- Work across a wide group of stakeholders to ensure timely, high quality and consistent completion of business operation activities across the org to achieve overall business and cultural priorities.
- Create and manage the rhythm of business (ROB), including business reviews, technical reviews, annual planning, leadership staff meetings, cross-organizational business reporting, etc. to help the business and technology development run smoothly and effectively.
- Lead and execute organization wide strategic initiatives and change management projects.
- Partner with other stakeholders within the team and Azure organization to manage and drive special projects.
- Plan and organize content for All hands meetings, Offsites, LT meetings and Business Reviews.
- Streamline business processes across the business, optimizing for quality, efficiency, and effective resource management. Includes development of new business processes and tools to continuously improve organizational efficiency.
Required Qualification:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate as a team member of the functional team
- Relevant experience with engineering environments working on rhythm-of-business activities, business operations, business management, finance, or other similar environments.
- Bachelor’s degree business, finance, engineering, operations, or equivalent experience.
- Provide thought leadership as well as hands on technical configuration/development as needed.
- Outstanding cross-functional project management skills to organize a busy workload and deliver projects on time.
- Provide best practice and industry specific solutions
- Participate as primary, co and/or contributing author on any and all project deliverables associated with their assigned areas of responsibility
- Participate in data conversion and data maintenance
- Proven capabilities to drive positive business results through cross-group collaboration and partnerships.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrate the ability to simplify and manage complex business and technology topics.
- Self-starter with strong financial and analytical skills.
- Experience in business management, operations, finance, or product/program management with track record of increasing scope of roles and responsibilities.

- Excellent written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Cross-functional program management/technical program management experience required.
- Strong attention to detail, passion for strategic thinking and problem solving, and ability to deliver rich, business insights to drive business decisions.
- Advise on and provide alternative (out of the box) solutions
We are looking for a copy-writer to own the end-to-end writing and editing of product emails that are sent to approximately 30,000 startup founders. This person will be responsible for working across the team to create an engaging email experience while sticking to tight timelines and following brand guidelines.
