Description
Management Resources is a skilled and detail-oriented Contract Business Intelligence Analyst for a 1-2 month engagement for our client. On this engagement you will be responsible for gathering reporting requirements, acquiring data, and developing recurring or ad hoc reports and prototype solutions. You will analyze and validate data, design and build business intelligence solutions, and maintain a library of reports for the Corporate Finance Group. Additionally, you will provide support, guidance, and subject matter expertise to other reporting professionals and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Support process improvement initiatives within the Corporate Finance Group. Tasks may include process mapping, data collection, data analysis, facilitating meetings, and suggesting enhancements to reporting processes.
  • Reporting Error Resolution: Investigate and resolve reporting errors for reports maintained by the Financial Operations team. Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Business Intelligence Solutions: Design, build, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including financial reports, dashboards, and data exports, to meet accounting and finance department requirements. Ensure solutions are user-friendly and accessible to a broad audience.
  • Reporting Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, identify data sources, and acquire the necessary data to develop recurring or ad hoc reports.
  • Data Analysis and Validation: Analyze and validate data from source systems and/or data warehouse to ensure it meets the data requirements for reporting by utilizing SQL and Power BI. Identify and resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide support, guidance, and subject matter expertise to other reporting professionals within the Corporate Finance team. Share best practices and assist in resolving reporting-related issues.
Qualifications And Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in business intelligence or data analytics are a plus.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and data sources, including ERP systems and financial databases.
  • Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases and data warehouses.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions, including reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies and tools is a plus.
