Business Intelligence Analyst Jobs

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for guiding the business through the analysis of quantitative & qualitative data. This role requires the creation of customer centric solutions/approaches driven by data analysis, business acumen, creativity, and effective communication. This position will create the design and development of reporting structures and interfaces, as well as administration of standardized reports to be utilized across the team. Analyzes business needs presented by stakeholders and recommends technical solutions. This role will interface with and support all company departments such as Finance, Operations, Procurement, Sales, and other internal business partners and regional locations and be responsible for a variety of complex and cross-functional initiatives which will ultimately require the team member to become a subject matter expert in the organization’s processes. POSITION IS ON-SITE IN OUR STATEN ISLAND FACILITY

Key Responsibilities

• Develops information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance
• Uses advanced mathematical, statistical, querying, and reporting methods to develop solutions
• Designs and implements processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis, modeling, and predicting to enable informed business decisions.
• Aid in the design and Implementations of the Data Integrations between the systems
• Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying statistical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources
• Collaborates across departments and with stakeholders to define requirements and develop business solutions
• Analyze large volumes of data to perform analytics
• Sets up process for monitoring, tracking, and trending data
• Extracts and compiles various sources of information and large data sets from various systems to identify and analyze outliers
• Creates solutions from initial concept to fully tested production; and demonstrates results to a broad range of stakeholders
• Builds SQL ETL routines to move, cleanse and prepare data for reporting
• Works with stakeholders to identify trends, aggregate data and build visually appealing reports in Power BI

Required Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient in PowerBI, Data Modeling and Excel
• 5-8 years' experience in report building, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to follow established practices, policies and procedures
• Ability to create simple to complex analytical solutions
• Experience in SQL (Azure, Netezza, Snowflake, Hadoop)
• Ability to take an abstract analytical problem and break it down into actionable tasks
• Ability to build stable working relationships
• Extensive knowledge with SAP
• Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Business, Economics, Finance or Computer Science, or an equivalent diploma
• Strong understanding of productivity suite software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
