Job Description
Jamaica Bearings is hiring a Business Development Director for our Aerospace Division! The Business Development Director will be responsible for leading sales and client-relationship management, tracking new markets and emerging trends, recommending new products and services, and developing new strategic partnerships They will write proposals and plans, and guides long-term objectives to meet business needs and requirements in the aerospace/aviation sector.


  • This position is remote on the West Coast. Up to 50% travel will be required.


Job Responsibilities And Skills Include The Following Areas


Strategic Business Focus


  • Develop sales strategies to improve company’s marketing and sales performance.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of business plans, sales strategy and public relations strategy to analyze and provide necessary recommendations.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business development opportunities and prepare business plans and budgets for new projects.
  • Build and establish strong relationships with customers and industry professionals.
  • Plan, develop and oversee the overall business development strategy.


New Business Capture


  • Coordinates and Implements field sales scheduling and reporting, action plans, and accountability for sales opportunities.
  • Delivers presentations to company executives and management teams to highlight business or marketing opportunities or to present the results of new strategies.
  • Many business development directors also prepare documents and information for requests for proposals (RFPs). These RFPs often present new opportunities for business growth and enhanced operations.
  • Develop dynamic business presentations and proposals for clients and internal communications.
  • Keep potential clients apprised on company’s new products and price development details on a regular basis.


Tactical Support


  • Determine and implement key business development KPIs
  • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against forecast goals to ensure company key results are met
  • Coordinate meetings, calls and communications between management and customers throughout the business implementation and execution stages.


Qualifications


  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • 5+ years experience in the Aerospace industry
  • Excellent command of MS Office and CRM software
  • 5 years of experience successfully leading a sales initiatives and projects
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales management, or relevant fields
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field
