Business Analyst / Systems Engineer - Intern
Position Summary
This is an on-site position located in Irvine, California.
Thales is looking for a Business Analyst / Systems Engineering Intern to Support Project Design Authorities and BID Engineering on Critical Projects like EK/Delta and American.
In this position you will support the Project Design Authorities on critical projects.
Key Areas of Responsibility

• Assist in lesson learned and all process documentation creation and learn overall in-flight Entertainment processes and domains.
• Bring in innovative fresh ideas to customer workshops.
• Support technical discussions, provide insight on customer needs, and testing at the rack.
• Support and present customer needs to engineering and gather estimates to develop/deliver the feature.
• Support Gather Customer Requirements and document in Customer Requirement Specifications.
• Support technical meetings with customer and get familiar with IFE architecture and how to integrate customer solutions.
• Support review with customer, make updates, help with Release, and obtain signatures.
• Get familiar with requirements and traceability in requirement management tool JAMA, indirectly learning how system works.

Minimum Requirements

• You show great availability and strong responsiveness.
• Demonstrate motivation, autonomy and initiative.
• You are recognized as a team-player and enjoy collaborative work.
• Junior or Senior, pursuing a Master of Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or any other relevant field in University, and you have a passion for customer experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer and programing knowledge.
• Able to synthetize complex ideas into clear and concise statements.
• Able to prioritize activities ensuring that product line documentation is delivered on-time and with quality.
• Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Understand and interpret customer requirements and translate them to technical statement of works.
• Self-starter, must be able to perform job responsibilities with minimal direction.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse community of stakeholders.

Special Position Requirements
The anticipated TTC range for this role is $20 - $27 USD per hour. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
