The Expertise And Skills You Bring


  • Ability to see opportunities for improvement internal to the team and for our customers
  • Moderate knowledge of tools and techniques for data analysis, visualization, and presentation
  • Capable of articulating technical concepts to both business and technical colleagues.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related experience
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication, with both business and technology team members
  • Curiosity about data and data governance concepts such as data quality and data fluency
  • Accuracy, consistency and precision in work approach
  • Financial services industry experience working as a business and/or data analyst
  • Experience in interpreting business needs to define requirements for technical implementation.
  • Teammate willing to pitch in, and can work effectively with both end user community and systems development staff


The Team


The FFIO Data Strategy & Governance team loves data and has three focus areas. The team:


  • Is responsible for the Inquiry Workbench application that enables ad hoc business discovery and operational analysis on shared Asset Management and FFIO-manufactured data. Our user population spans across multiple Business Units at Fidelity
  • Manages the FFIO Data Governance Program. The program is in partnership with Asset Management and aligned with the enterprise Data Management Council to deliver on program goals that will ensure that data is understood, trusted, and becomes easier to access, use, and share
  • Engages with the FFIO Data Strategy, which aims to define and deliver comprehensive, high-quality data solutions for our consumers


Our team is part of Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO). FFIO provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products.
