MSC Cruises USA is expanding its eCommerce team in S Florida. The Business Analyst will be instrumental in capturing, analyzing, and documenting business requirements that will drive the evolution of our public facing ecommerce digital channels, such as our web site in USA. This is a key role in our organization that requires the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, from the most senior to technical developers. As such, you will have a key role to play in capturing and elaborating business requirements for our digital channels in a fast-paced environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Capture, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders at all levels, under the direction of the ecommerce business and IT team's management
Be a motivated self-starter, and eager learner, to quickly ramp up understanding of our business areas, platforms, and services.
Become a proficient user of our e-commerce platforms and review the existing documentation already in place.
Ensure that requirements are documented and analyzed according to corporate standards and practices.
Organize workshops, interviews, and meetings to facilitate the collection and discovery of business requirements.
Work with the ecommerce and the technical team to ensure that requirements are defined with the appropriate level of detail and information.
Work with vendors, third parties, and corporate teams in an agile environment. Since significant parts of the teams can be remote, effectively use online collaboration tools to drive communications.
Collect and analyze data from multiple sources and create rational justifications for requirements' analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, Information technology, or equivalent.
4 years of business analysis experience is required, preferably in the cruise, or travel industry – years of experience is to be discussed, depends on the budget allocated.
Experience of working within the ecommerce space is required, along with an understanding of associated concepts, such as terminology, funnels, user journeys, and payments etc.
Good understanding of analytics and associated platforms such as Google Analytics, Content Square, etc., would be very desirable.
Working knowledge of the Agile process, especially writing clear user stories, personas, and scenarios etc. Experience of writing test cases would be a big plus
Experience of participating in, or conducting, requirement gather sessions, such as workshops, interviews, and meetings.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to write clear, concise prose and documentation.
Experience of using Microsoft Teams, or similar, whiteboarding tools such as Miro or equivalent, diagramming tools such as Draw.io or similar.
Technical IT development experience, along with an understanding of modern IT ecommerce system architectures.
