Position Overview:

As a Business Analyst Intern at Tidal Jets, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our finance team while gaining exposure to various aspects of our private jet charter brokerage business. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in analyzing financial data, conducting market research, and providing actionable insights to optimize our financial performance. This position offers a blend of business analysis and financial analysis, making it an ideal opportunity for someone interested in both domains.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis:

• Assist in conducting financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analyze key financial metrics and performance indicators to identify trends and areas of improvement.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management.

Market Research:

• Assist in identifying target markets, customer segments, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
• Collect and analyze market data to assess industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential business opportunities.
• Help in preparing market research reports to support strategic decision-making.

Data Management and Reporting:

• Collaborate with the finance team to collect, organize, and validate financial data from various sources.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into key financial and operational metrics.
• Develop and maintain financial models, spreadsheets, and databases to facilitate data analysis and reporting.

Process Improvement:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process optimization initiatives.
• Identify process inefficiencies and propose recommendations for streamlining operations and enhancing financial performance.
• Assist in implementing improvements to financial reporting processes and systems.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong interest in the aviation industry and a passion for finance.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques is a plus.
