Job Description
Business Administrator / Finance Manager


  • Willing to do the necessary but not so glamorous work of ordering office supplies, fielding questions from employees, planning office parties, sending out customer or employee gifts, one-off administrative tasks such as setting up company rental car programs, etc.
  • Understanding of and adaptable to different software technologies we use to run payroll, HR, project management, invoicing (Rippling, Birdview, BQE Core, Quickbooks are what we use but only Quickbooks is common or expected coming into the position)
  • Intuitive and works independently to solve problems.
  • Basic understanding of office management and back end business operations such banking operations, necessary tax filings, etc.
  • Although technologies are critically important, it is just as important in this position to have the underlying experience/understanding of how things operate to understand quickly when something looks wrong/technology fails, etc.
  • Basic bookkeeping understanding. We would be open to someone who can actually do the bookkeeping in Quickbooks so long as they are willing and able to focus on all of the other important aspects of the position. We currently outsource both bookkeeping and separately accounting.
  • Experience with invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Understanding of payroll including working with our professional employer organization (PEO) for payroll, HR, and benefits administration.
  • Quality control checks on payroll, project invoicing, timesheets, etc.
  • Attention to detail
  • Note if someone has the attention to detail and understanding of how to operate software, this can be easily learned on the job.
