Velvet Cannabis is Central Contra Costa County's first retail full service dispensary. We are local, East Bay natives who love cannabis and believe it provides a positive impact in our lives as well as throughout our communities.

We are looking for professional Budtenders & Cannabis Enthusiasts. As a Budtender, you are the face of Velvet Cannabis focused on providing an exceptional customer experience.

Budtender Responsbilities:

• Ensuring the dispensary is clean, stocked, and well-organized at all times
• Processes customer transactions using Velvet’s Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Ability to grasp, finger, and reach
• Act in a professional manner, greeting customers, and facilitating sales, ensuring exceptional customer experience
• Advising customers on cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and interests
• Upsells when appropriate; promote current sales, promotions, discounts, etc.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop and kneel
• Educating customers on the safe use of cannabis products provided at Velvet Dispensary
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Ensuring sales floor is always stocked and well-organized
• Maintains the professional appearance of the sales floor
• Inventory of cannabis products
• Keeping up to date with the cannabis industry standards, new products, strains, and changes in laws, as well as industry trends
• Verifying proper identification of customers to verify they are of legal age to purchase and consume products offered
• Assisting in various dispensary operations while maintaining hygienic conditions
• Ability to remain stationary position for a minimum of 3 hours

Budtender Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• A passion & interest for all things cannabis
• Previous Cannabis experience preferred
• Outstanding customer service & communication skills
• Drive to go above and beyond for your team and your customer
• Knowledge of cannabis strains and their benefits, effects, etc.
• Attention to detail & multi-tasked oriented
