Electronic Arts Inc. is a leading global interactive entertainment company. EA delivers games, content and online services for Internet-connected consoles, personal computers, mobile phones and tablets. A Video Editor is responsible for editing video content to achieve the final creative vision set forward by the Creative lead and producer. Editor must be able to identify editorial and graphical trends, respond quickly and clearly with the creative leads, and be able to identify roadblocks with the post supervisor when they arise.
Responsibilities

• Keeping project files organized, clean and properly labeled
• Edit short-form content, including promotional spots, features, opens/teases, sizzle reels, highlight videos, and social video. Building a visual story outlined in the creative brief
• Exporting assets to specific file specifications according to need.
• Work closely with producers, other editors, and partners to address edit notes.
• Turning around assets on tight timelines
• Create motion graphics involving typography, photography, video and animation.
• Provide light color correction and sound design

Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience with the following programs a plus: Handbrake, YouTube-DL, Red Giant Universe, Motion Array.
• Experience in broadcast TV or digital publishing.
• 3+ years of experience video editing and Motion Graphic creation
• Candidate must be able to edit high volume, as well as high quality elements to work for multiple distribution outlets; projects/assignments will have wide-ranging lengths and degree of skill.
• Ability to work well both cross-functionally and collaboratively as a team player and as a self-starter. Strong facilitator to help others complete the task at hand and work together.
• Ability to work occasional weekends.
• Knowledge of the competitive gaming landscape.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Communicates progress with clarity.
• Expert in Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop).

CONTRACT POSITION - 8 MONTHS

The hourly pay ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the hourly pay range for your specific location.
The hourly pay ranges represent in good faith what applicants can expect to be paid for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
HOURLY PAY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $60 - $70
