Job Overview

Professional boat sales consultant with the ability to meet and or exceed annual sales goals while strategically position the company in the marketplace in order to sell new and used products while maintaining world-class exceptional customer service experiences.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains good long-term relationships with customers before and after the sale while developing long term relationships with customers
• Follows the sales process to improve selling skills, including prospecting for new customers and follow-up on customers previously contacted
• Accurately computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance and license fees
• Highly professional, organized, and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Introduces customers to the dealership service and support team
• Duties can change at anytime
• The Sales Consultant must recognize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote him/herself to exceeding the customer's expectation
• Has Seamanship skills
• Successfully completes all required training programs
• Must achieve weekly, monthly and/or quarterly sales goals
• Diligently inputs and maintains accurate and comprehensive customer and prospect information into the CRM
• Actively participates in boat shows and other off-site promotions
• Projects a professional and knowledgeable image at all times
• Shows products on property, off property, at off-sites or shows, and demonstrates boats safely on the water
• Professionally leads and supports customer events including the club events
• Works with the business and service teams to communicate the requirements for sales and financing
• Must achieve total sales dollars (volume) and gross profit goals
• Oversees the delivery of each unit sold
• Enthusiastically embraces Cannons Marina values and operations
• Acquires complete knowledge of the product line, features and accessories available for purchase
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Be a team player

• Regular, predictable attendance is required and some after-hours as business demands dictate
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision requirements due operating boats, machinery and computers

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate machinery, computers and telephone, keyboard, to reach, to kneel and to bend over

Work Environment

• Loud to Moderate noise levels (i.e. marine equipment, machinery and boat motors business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)
• Ability to drive marina vehicles, and boat trailers
• Ability to work outdoors in the Florida environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,500.00 - $350,000.00 per year
