Job Description

3rd Generation Upper East side established family owned firm that has earned a stellar reputation for their quality service since 1952.

We are looking for an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring that customers are billed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a fast-paced and growing organization.


Responsibilities

  • Generating accurate and detailed information on invoices related to descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and any applicable taxes or discounts.
  • Verifying EFT/ACH payments, COD payments, processing credit card payments and entering them into system
  • Responsible for accurate and timely billing.
  • Utilizing accounting or billing software, enter, and update relevant data, track payments, and maintain accurate records of estimates and invoices.
  • Follow up with clients, customers, or internal departments to address billing inquiries, resolve payment discrepancies, and provide clarification on estimates or invoices.
  • Work closely with managers, sales teams, or clients to gather relevant information and calculate the costs involved in providing services.
  • Vendor credentialing and uploading invoices thru supplier portals.
  • Attention to details and Organizational skills to manage complex invoicing, ensuring that all billable items are recorded and accounted for.
  • Using the gathered information, create professional estimates or quotations detailing the anticipated costs for clients or customers.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
  • +3 years of Billing Specialist experience.
