Billing Representative Jobs

We are seeking a Billing Representative to join our clients' dynamic team! The Billing Representative is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely customer billings and invoices for Electric services. This role involves collaborating with various departments to research, analyze, and resolve billing disputes. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of PUC guidelines, Tariff rulings, and TMAT functionality, as well as proficiency in SAP, CRM, and Business Objects applications.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure billing corrections comply with tariff rates, rules, and regulatory requirements.
• Research and analyze complex exceptions, considering system limitations, to make accurate corrections.
• Handle special assignments as required by the department or supervision.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing issues and offer resolutions in the customer billing process.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Transaction Management Automation Tool (TMAT).
• Become proficient in required business systems (SAP/CRM, MarkeTrak, TMT, MDM) to perform job duties.
• Maintain quality control on supporting documentation for billing adjustments due to meter tampering and malfunctioning meters.
• Provide training on billing exceptions across departments as needed.
• Interface with various departments to process exceptions and resolve electric account issues.
• Support projects by creating testing scripts and performing testing.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Perform system UAT testing and monitor applications.
• Evaluate, analyze, and resolve billing exception transactions related to meter malfunctions, diversion, crossed metering situations, and incorrect meter data.
• Understand and navigate the deregulation transaction process within Utility Tariffs, PUCT Regulations, ERCOT Protocols, and TX Set Transactions.
• Collaborate with IT to identify and resolve system issues.
• Provide statistical reporting to meet PUC protocols and departmental expectations.
• Complete, distribute, monitor, and maintain departmental and billing exception reports and BPEM cases.

Experience:

• Strong knowledge and understanding of PUC guidelines and Tariff rulings, TMAT functionality, SAP, CRM, and Business Objects applications.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience related to customer billing.

• Attention to detail and good time management and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent knowledge of English, mathematics, and grammar.
• Pay: $20/hr

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong telephone etiquette.
• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform fundamental math calculations and use a 10-key calculator.
