Job Description

Remote Medical Billing Manager


At Modoma our mission is to empower our patients to take a proactive approach to their health which ultimately influences their families health. We do this through medically integrated massage and rehab, regenerative knee services and other health care services. We have four clinics in the DFW area with 150 employees. We continue to experience rapid growth and are seeking strong leaders to join our team.


We are seeking to hire a highly efficient Billing Manager to oversee the Billing department and all aspects of the billing revenue cycle.The manager’s responsibilities include; ensuring that claims, denials, and appeals are efficiently processed, resolving billing-related issues, overseeing patient account issues, accounting and accurate reporting.You should also be able to code diagnoses and procedures correctly.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure all codes and sequences are accurate in accordance with insurance regulations to include assigning proper codes to diagnoses and procedures, using ICD and CPT codes.
  • Expert and accuracy in end to end revenue cycle billing to include but not limited to management of team members in eligibility and benefits, prior authorizations, charge entry and submission, posting payments, A/R, denial and appeals and reporting.
  • Able to work with the medical research and development team in providing accurate medical policies, fee schedules, and compliant CPT/diagnosis coding for medical necessity.
  • Implement written policies and procedures that govern the medical billing functions.
  • Proficient in creating reports, analyzing data, identifying lost revenue, collecting payments, and implementing billing cycle management strategies to minimize losses.
  • Collaboration with the other departments on clinic systems and procedures.
  • Plan and implement quality assurances for all processes.
  • Identifying inefficiencies and being able to create processes with innovative solutions.
  • Strong familiarity with medical billing, commercial insurances and Medicare.
  • Oversee and streamline billing and collections process
  • Leadership and management of the billing department team.
  • Utilizing data from patient outcomes to determine billing amounts.


Objectives of this Role

  • Develop, modify, and execute company policies and procedures that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide impact.
  • Manage for high-quality, timely coding of diagnoses and procedures for patient accounts, using ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding classification systems, to meet billing system requirements.
  • Team management to ensure best utilization of team resources and best outcomes.
  • Work with medical providers, team members, insurance companies, patients and other integral parties to uncover and discuss coding analysis results.
  • Accountability for the billing process from the beginning to the end.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience billing in a physical medicine codes a must
  • Prior experience billing these specialities is preferred: Physical medicine and rehabilitation, orthopedics or pain management
  • Excellent typing and 10-key speed and accuracy
  • At least 5 years of experience in medical coding and billing
  • Leader, self-starter, results oriented and great team player
  • At least 5 years of experience in management
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
  • Experience in medicare medical billing
  • Medical coding or successful completion of a certification program

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
