About The Role
As a Benefits Customer Service Representative, you'll play a crucial role in assisting plan participants with their inquiries. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
Build strong rapport with plan participants, showing compassion and exceeding their expectations through various communication channels, including phone, email, and instant messaging.
Customize your customer service approach to accommodate different communication styles and personalities while maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
Handle confidential information with the utmost sensitivity and discretion, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and Data Privacy laws.
Translate complex health, welfare, and pension terms into simple explanations that customers can understand and act upon.
Familiarize yourself with client's plan documents and online knowledgebase tools, collecting relevant information to address immediate requests/questions and anticipate future member needs.
Adhere to company and client procedures and guidelines, providing accurate and timely information.
Maintain detailed and accurate call and case notes in a professional manner.
Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
1+ years of customer service experience.
Strong computer skills.
Mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications
Typing speed of 30+ WPM.
Call center experience.
Bilingual in Spanish or French.
