The UW AUTISM Center (UWAC) is devoted to supporting families affected by AUTISM spectrum disorders through exceptional clinical services, innovative scientific research and high-quality training. UWAC is part of the Center on Human Development and Disability at the University of Washington and incorporates faculty and staff from the UW School of Medicine, College of Arts & Sciences, and College of Education. The UWAC currently has an outstanding opportunity for a full- time Behavior Technician (BT) at the Seattle Campus.
The Behavior Technician (Research Study Coordinator 1) will work amongst a team of professionals, including licensed psychologists, speech-language pathologists, board certified behavior analysts, medical professionals, faculty, graduate students, and pre- and post-doctoral fellows. This position will provide clinical services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders, providing/Implementing direct interventions to children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) using principles of applied behavior analysis under the supervision of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analysts).
The position will support UW Autism Center-wide policies and procedures and workload standards. The position has additional complexities involving the ability to handle complex and sensitive situations regarding clinic patients.

- Bachelor’s degree in related field (psychology, education, human/child development).
- Training and experience with early intensive behavioral intervention for children with autism, early intervention for toddlers, developmental psychology, applied behavior analysis, special education, or related fields.
- Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) credential in the state of Washington through the DOH.
- Experience working directly with children and families with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Conditions of Employment:
- *Employees must have 40-hour training according to the BACB Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Task List. Upon hire employees will be expected to pass a competency assessment and must be willing to complete Washington State requirements to work as a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) through the WA State Department of Health. - Employees MUST be available during ABA Day Program hours – 8:30-11:30 and 1:30-4:30 Tuesday- Friday. Schedule can be up to 40 hours – (Tuesday-Fridays 8:00-6:30) but is negotiable based on clinic need and applicant availability. Hours may be subject to change based on client need or schedule.
