Position: Behavior Support Technician, 1.0 FTE

Location: To Be Determined

Reports to: Special Education Director

Salary: $21.00/hour, 6.5 Hours/Day

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Education, Psychology, or Social Work

• Training and experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis

• Registered Behavior Technician certification

• Two or more years’ experience working with students with behavioral challenges

• Trained in or willing to be trained in non-violent crisis interventions

• Excellent communication skills

Essential Functions:

• Able to maintain records regarding student behaviors

• Able to transition/train adult support for identified students

• Able to assist with the development and implementation of classroom and/or individual behavior plans

• Able to provide assistance in behavioral assessments

• Able to provide one on one or small group support to students

• Able to analyze data and collaborate with teams on positive behavior interventions and supports

• Able to communicate and collaborate with school teams regarding supporting challenging student behavior
