Responsibilities
The Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) work on mobile native app, web apps, portals and services. The associate will be responsible for functional and non-functional quality assurance of such applications.

• Performs PR reviews and builds the cross-team and cross-platform end-to-end knowledge
• Participate in paired programming with another developer as and when required
• Performs validations of application and system logs during the functional tests runs
• Discharges any other duties assigned by the management and leadership teams
• Owns the code branches and maintains tests in different environments
• Writes scripts to automate test data generation using APIs from different systems
• Ensures that the CI is running successfully in all lower environments daily
• Builds and integrates test harnesses and utilities within the application and test repos
• Writes the tests as code against the application in the local dev environment
• Sets-up, maintains and troubleshoot the local dev environment for both front-end React Native and Java backend independently
• Participates in the backlog grooming and sprint planning
• Writes integration tests as part of end-to-end testing through feature development cycles
• Creates and maintain CI dashboard for test reporting
• Daily code contribution to app and test repos in Java/JavaScript/TypeScript using WebdriverIO and Axios frameworks
• Performs API validations along with respective data flows in the MYSQL database
• Produces quality code which passes the PR reviews successfully from peers
• Tests assumptions and challenges product for missing non-functional requirements such as impact to business operations, transaction monitoring, business metrics capturing, secure data logging, security vulnerabilities, performance, and other such aspects
• Provides support for the various release and test events for planned and ad-hoc releases
• Maintains the CI health by triaging and fixing the test failures in real time

Required Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of WebdriverIO, Axios or equivalent frameworks using JavaScript/Typescript
• Experience working in high-paced environment, being self-driven, and working independently
• Hands-on experience writing, augmenting, and maintaining Java based unit tests using Spring, Junit, or equivalent framework
• 3+ years of development experience of externally facing, high-transaction and high-volume REST APIs, web portals and/or mobile native apps using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, and/or equivalent technologies
• Communication: clear communication over zoom, Slack, phone, email, writes grammatically correct sentences in all channels, knows how and when to write business professional communication
• Experience in setting-up the app development environment, both frontend and backend, on local machine in the Docker and Kubernetes environment
• Hands-on experience in paired programming and automated acceptance test driven development (ATDD) is a plus
• Knowledge of different test levels such as feature, integration, and end-to-end
• Minimum of 1 year with PactumJS or SuperTest for API testing
• Work discipline for remote working is a must - availability on Slack, Outlook, Phone, Zoom, responsiveness, flexibility, respecting core hours, advance time-off notifications, timely communication, compliant with organizational processes, uninterrupted internet connection

Requirements

• Experience working within the Healthcare industry a plus
• Tech Stack: JavaScript, Typescript, React Native, Mobile, REST API, Selenium, Azure, Chai, Mocha, Axios or equivalent framework
• Experience working with Agile methodology
• Development experience with applications hosted in cloud (Azure preferred)
• Flexible on working hours to support high-paced environment
