Summer Behavior Technician Jobs

AAPSA is excited to offer a seasonal summer position with immediate openings for part-time behavior technicians in our ABA program at our Syracuse office location. The position starts at $18 an hour, employment begins in June and continues through the end of August.

This is a fantastic opportunity for current students or recent graduates looking to break into the Behavioral Health field and enrich the lives of children and families struggling with Autism while making rewarding and meaningful connections with clients.

As a behavior technician, you will work directly with a child on the Autism spectrum to provide services. All training and supervision in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) will be provided. ABA is an intensive behavioral therapy and a science-based approach designed to change the lives of individuals on the spectrum. Your role will be to encourage and support independence in communication, social skills, and daily living by implementing treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavioral Analysts.

This position's hours will be based on a typical school day. Applicants must have reliable means of transportation and a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Physical activity is involved, and you must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

This position is a great learning opportunity for individuals interested in careers in education, psychology, human services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, and speech/language therapy. Previous candidates in these positions have benefited from the experience and the letter of recommendation that can be provided for application into undergraduate and graduate school programs.
