JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Behavior Specialist for Anna Jarvis Elementary
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Special education degree/ Behavior Disorders
2. Board Certified Behavior Analysist preferred
TO WHOM RESPONSIBLE: Building level administrators/ County administration
EMPLOYMENT TERM: 200 days ( Rest of FY 2023 and FY 2024 school years only)
Funding Source: -FY 2024-Federal ARP Funding
General Responsibilities:
- Train staff on data collection of behaviors observed as well as review data and monitor revisions as needed
- Oversee and collaborate with the Behavior Interventionist (Elementary and TCMS)
- Set up data notebooks
- Be trained in and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI)
- Provide professional devleopment to all staff on behaviors/strategies for improvement/goal setting, etc
- Coordinate county level trainings/professional development
- Create and maintain a positive rapport with famililes and staff
- Train staff on ABA strategies for use in the classroom
- Any other duties as assigned
- Assist teachers and staff in classroom design to meet behavioral and academic needs of students
- Provide targeted interventions in small group or one on one settings
- Develop reinforcemnet systems for individual students
- Review and analyze discipline data
- Train staff on schedule implementation for targeted students
- Complete behavior observations/evaluations when needed
