The Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard resort cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Responsible for returning, and inventorying in, banquet beverage to the beverage storeroom.
- Takes a responsible attitude towards the service of alcoholic beverages and maintain this service within the limits of the hotel policy and state liquor laws.
- Break down and remove all equipment, linen, and glassware at the end of function.
- Ensure that all trash cans are clean and wrapped prior to the start of the event/function.
- Maintain cleanliness of the guest area during functions, including clearing glassware.
- Lock up and store all beverage, food, and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secure bank.
- Greet guest in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes and presents drink ensuring standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
- Set-up, break down, and assist in moving portable bars to function locations, set-up back bars with glassware & liquor in compliance with diagram or instructions provided.
- Read and understand the Banquet Event Order with the detailed instructions regarding functions.
- Collects and removes dirty glassware to dishwashing areas (on speed racks).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Obtain ice, garnish, or any other necessary items for the bar set up and anything else needed to operate the bar successfully for the event.
- Responsible for obtaining all products to support bars during the functions using the Grand Geneva’s requisition policy.
- Receives cash from guest, make any changes needed, verifies validity of changes, record changes, and insures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all monies.
The Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old to serve or pour alcohol.
- Two years of bartending experience preferred.
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to organize task in activities pertaining to efficient production of work.
- Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certification.
