$41- $50hr (Weekly pay + benefits)

3-6 month contract to turn permanent

Full-time/ M-F 9-6pm EST

The Job

They are looking for an Audio Production/Producer to join their team. They want someone who is passionate about the show and well-acquainted with the work they do. They are a small team, so there’s a lot of opportunity for growth! Your contributions will make a direct and tangible impact on the stories they tell. The successful candidate will be eager to learn and enthusiastic about joining a close-knit team doing ambitious work. *Requires stable work history as this role is looking to turn permanent for the right candidate*

What You’ll Do

Production responsibilities include, but are not limited to: research, finding and pitching stories and characters, prepping host/hosts for interviews (doing all relevant research, writing questions, communicating with hosts, being present for all interviews), cutting selects and tape from interviews, field recording, travel for stories, structuring and writing episodes, participating in edits, incorporating feedback from edits, writing through episodes, incorporating any and all client feedback, participating in fact checking, post-production duties such as delivering all required elements of a session, scoring and pacing. Any and all other tasks related to producing content for the podcast. (example: finding and booking tape syncers or studios)

• Find, pre-interview, and book guests
• Contribute to group edits
• Help cut tape and think through story structure
• Build assemblies of episodes
• Plan reporting trips in collaboration with supervising producers
• Book travel and studios for recording sessions
• Produce in-studio interviews with supervising producers
• Manage relationships with external help (i.e.: transcribers; researchers; translators; etc.)
• Conduct research
• Transcribe, organize, and sync tape
• Create episodic promos

What You’ll Bring

• 10% travel ( travel for stories)
• Prior experience or interest in working with a small, close-knit team
• Must have Pro Tools knowledge
• Experience with editing, writing, fact checking
• Passion for the show and fluency with the back-catalog
• Requires knowledge with structuring and writing episodes, participating in edits, incorporating feedback from edits
• Enthusiasm for learning and able to learn quickly
• Experience cutting selects and tape from interviews ; Transcribe, organize, and sync tape
• Requires great passion for the work/industry
• Experience with prepping host/host for hosts for interviews (doing all relevant research, writing questions, communicating with hosts, being present for all interviews)
• An ability to listen to raw tape, and identify the perfect details, the need-to-know plot points, and the moments that make a story emotional
• 5-10yrs experience in Audio Production/Producer within radio/podcast
• Able to adjust well to changes/adaptable(everyday not the same)
