Job Title: Announcer, On Air Talent (Part-Time) - Atlanta Radio

Full Time/Part Time: Part Time

Follow instructions and cues of game presentation manager

1-2 years of experience in professional speaking (public address announcing, radio broadcasting, voice-over talent, public speaking, theatre performer)

Strong knowledge and understanding of hockey rules and game situations

Huge experience for future careers in the sport or entertainment industry

Announce all in-arena reads including player introductions, in-game updates and details, and sponsor promotions, as needed

Demonstrate an ability and willingness to work flexible hours

Manage relationships with external help (i.e.: transcribers; researchers; translators; etc.)

5-10yrs experience in Audio Production/Producer within radio/podcast

Experience cutting selects and tape from interviews ; Transcribe, organize, and sync tape

Requires knowledge with structuring and writing episodes, participating in edits, incorporating feedback from edits

Must have Pro Tools knowledge

Experience with editing, writing, fact checking

Some public speaking, public address or broadcasting experience.

Some experience as a public-address announcer for collegiate or professional athletic teams

Acknowledging big plays made by student athletes.

Reading prepared marketing and advertising statements throughout the games/matches during stoppage opportunities and breaks.

Understanding of the rules and terminology of sports.

Ability to speak to large groups of people in public.

May be responsible for operating control board for studios and remote programming.

Well-rounded communication skills for conducting interviews

Excellent writing and editing skills; proficient in grammar

1-2 years’ experience as an announcer in smaller market or college station environment

Delivers newscasts; announces radio playlist of musical selections; gives weather and traffic conditions; delivers sport scores, statistics and upcoming game information.

Typically specializes in one type of music (e.g. classical, pop, rock, country and western, etc.).

High School graduate and three years of responsible professional radio announcing/combo operation experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Operates “ON-AIR” production and remote equipment.

Knowledge of Urban/Urban Adult/Rhythmic Top 40 music and entertainment that appeals to 18-54 target audience.

Experience in interviewing guests, reading information, operating equipment and communicating to the general public.

COVID-19 vaccination requirements and verification

Serves as “ON-AIR” host/personality and website blogger.

College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and skilled public speaker with excellent pronunciation.

Must be dependable and reliable. Knowledge of, familiarity with, and regular use of computers/software/digital systems.

Steady and measured public radio on-air delivery style.

A valid driver’s license and pre-employment criminal background check are required.
